PREMIER LEAGUE RESULT
Everton (0)1 Manchester City (0)0
Gibson 60

Everton saw off league leaders Manchester City thanks to a second half goal from Darron Gibson.
The visitors looked the better side in the first half although Denis Stracqualursi did have a header cleared off the line. Nasri's long range shot came back off the framework of the goal.
In the second half, the Toffees improved a great deal and on 60 minutes. Leighton Baines crossed, Landon Donovan passed and Darron Gibson smashed the ball goalwards with a slight deflection off Kompany and into the net.

Stracqualursi 27 Murphy (pen)14
Fellaini 73

Everton progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup after they came back from behind to beat Fulham at Goodison.
The visitors took the lead just before the quarter hour mark when Danny Murphy scored from the spot after Johnny Heitinga handballed.
Everton responded well though and on 27 minutes they equalised when Denis Stracqualursi scored his first Everton goal when he headed in from Landon Donovan's cross.
The second half had produced very little in terms of chances for either side, until the 73rd minute, when Donovan crossed and this time it was Marouane Fellaini who was there to head in.
The game finished with a 2-1 scoreline in favour of Everton.

PREMIER LEAGUE RESULT
Everton (1)1 Blackburn Rovers (0)1
Cahill 24 Goodwillie 72
32,464
Tim Cahill scored his first Everton goal since December 2010 but Everton could only draw with Blackburn at Goodison after another disappointing performance.
In the early part of the game the majority of the chances fell to the visitors but it was Everton who took the lead on 24 minutes, and they were somewhat fortuitious to do so as Marouane Fellaini seemed to handle the ball into the path of Cahill who scored from close range.
Everton couldn't increase their lead in the second half Blackburn struck back. Cahill's clearance came back off the oncoming David Goodwillie and the ball found its way into the net to give Rovers a deserved point.
Everton: Howard; Neville, Heitinga, Duffy, Baines; Donovan, Cahill, Gibson (Stracqualursi 87), Fellaini, Anichebe (Vellios 80); Saha (Drenthe 54)
Subs not used: Mucha, Hibbert, Bilyaletdinov, Gueye
Booked: Gibson, Drenthe

The second began in familiar fashion as the home side took the lead through Darren Bent on 56 minutes.
However, the Blues struck back through Victor Anichebe on 69 minutes, and this was enough to give the visitors a point.
Everton: Howard; Neville, Heitinga, Duffy, Baines; Donovan, Cahill, Fellaini, Gibson (Bilyaletdinov 84), Drenthe (Anichebe 61); Saha (Stracqualursi 88)
